Day 7: Street food in Jaipur

I am behind with my blog. This is due to the shaky nature of the wifi in India. There is apparently broadband everywhere but it doesn't seem work in the average hotel. There is fabulous cell phone coverage as is evidenced by people in what seem to be very remote locations speaking on mobile phones. So, this and the following entries are not yet complete. I shall remove this paragraph as I catch up.

We started the day by visiting the Amber Fort. This contains the Hall of Mirrors (Sheesh Mahal) which, in my opinion, is as impressive as the Taj Mahal and, again in my opinion, is more engaging than the Taj Mahal. I say this not to belittle the beauty of the Taj Mahal but rather to emphasis how spectacular are the 4,000,000 little mirrors that make up this hall.

A detail from the Hall of Mirrors. Absolutely exquisite.
Perhaps less exquisite but nonetheless ornamental.
A typical scene of chaos. Believe or not cars were flowing through this morass of machinery. It could only work in India.
We enjoyed a tasty street side morsel here.
How could you resist a Storawberry Shake? I couldn't and it was exceptionally good.
It's amazing what you find lying around.
